The Van Huisen Boys Come to Town

leave a comment

My Dad and my two brothers came to San Francisco last weekend for a visit. They stayed in in Union Square at the Sir Francis Drake. They came over for a barbecue dinner and to hang out on Friday night. We went to see Cal play Colorado State over in Berkeley on Saturday. We arrived at the game VIP style in a white stretch limo that was allowed through the traffic barricade and right up to the stadium. It was a scorching day inside the stadium so we only managed to stay for the first half and then took our ride down to Raleigh’s on Telegraph for the second half. It was great having the guys up for the weekend and we all had a lot of fun.

6th Anniversary

Jenny and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary this last weekend. We picked up two mini versions of our chocolate wedding cake from Citizen Cake and cracked open a bottle of Petite Syrah that I picked up earlier this year from Quixote Winery.

Kite Festival

Jenny and I took Elise and Lily down to the Marina Green today for a kite festival. Flying a kite was fun but was even more fun was putting Elise on the nose of my long skateboard and going for a ride along the water.

PAX 2008

Ethan and I met in Seattle last weekend for PAX, an annual gaming convention and giant nerd festival. We got to play some unreleased video games, some board games, and enjoy some good people watching. It was pretty impressive how much stuff the Penny Arcade guys were able to cram into one weekend.
