San José del Cabo, Baja

Being alone felt right—clear head, no noise. But after a while, the quiet got old. I went back to Orange County.

A few months there and I was climbing the walls. Baja was the only fix—empty roads, warm water, cheap beer, and freedom.

I spent three weeks heading south, rang in the New Year in La Bufadora, and recharged in San Felipe. Eventually I made it to San José and rented an apartment downtown.
